My friend Scott asked me to design some nose art to honor his great uncle who was killed on his 2nd mission with the 492nd Bomb Group in a B-24. The Liberator had the name but no artwork. To go with the name meaning “Without Worry” or Free of Care, I felt the perfect choice would be WWII comic charactor Private Snafu lounging in a hammock, and occaisionally tossing a bomb or two. Scott loved it and I painted it on his Model T Roadster Hot Rod. My son and I even got to tool around in the neighborhood in it. Fun!
