Django Studios specializes in Automotive and Aviation Design, Marketing and Branding because of my intense passion for aircraft, cars and graphic design. Prior to that, I worked at a downtown Chicago Consumer Packaged Goods agency for 19 years working on projects for Hasbro, Unilever, Valspar and Sears with notable brands including Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Spider Man, Star Wars, Salon Selectives, Suave, Suave Kids, Degree and Kenmore.
Today I do work for major brands like Smithfield Foods, Peak Antifreeze, Napa Chassis, Stewart Warner, Snap-On Tools, QA1 and Coker Tire. My work can be seen at a variety of aviation museums and airshows across the US and the UK and has been accepted into the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum.
My passion for period correct WWII nose art resulted in having painted the C-47 “That’s All Brother”, C-47 “Do It”, B-24 “Ol’ 927, B-25 “Rosie’s Reply” and C-53 “Beach City Baby” , B-25 “Executive Sweet”, and P-47 “Chief Ski-U-Mah II” and will be painting the nose art on 2 upcoming C-47 restorations in 2024. I am obsessed with the history of WWII aviation and in 2021, thanks to Ray Fowler, my son and I got to fly for the first time in a P-51 in a 4 ship formation over Lake Winnebago. Talk about a dream come true!
I also love Hot Rods, Customs and Race Cars; I own a 1936 Ford coupe (that was my Dad’s first car), a 1967 Chevelle Convertible (that I finished in high school) and a 1955 Chevy 210 wagon (the family car) and several 1936 Ford and 1967 Chevelle project cars (that may or may not ever move under their own power).
