The DFW Wing CAF asked me to design a logo to support their Douglas R4D “Ready 4 Duty” in joining the D-Day Squadron to travel to Normandy, France, to commemorative the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
While there, “Ready 4 Duty” will represent the contributions of the U.S. Navy by leading the Navy to Normandy Tour, a multiweek mission where she will drop paratroopers, offer special heritage rides to the public, and serve as a mobile WWII U.S. Naval museum, giving thousands the chance to explore her historic interior and step back to 1944.
