Here is a Warbird Digest article on the nose art that I recently completed for the Yankee Air Museum on their combat veteran B-25. They asked for a Rosie the Riveter theme to honor the home front in WWII since their B-25 while serving briefly in the 340th Bomb Group, 489th Bomb Squadron, it did not have nose art in that time period. I researched other aircraft in the group, pulling out styling cues like lettering styles and art position for my concepts presentation, so that it would look not only period correct, but look like it belonged in the same squadron and could have been done at that time, in that particular bomb group. It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun! I’m really proud of the finished product, and I know the Yankee Air Museum is super happy.
